Can you post the router stats as requested please?
If you only recently got SH2 was that the result of renewing your contract? Make any changes?
@licquorice See above
That isn't the hub stats, its the checker results.
Hub stats are at Advanced settings > Technical log > Information in the hub manager page
@imjolly No changes I can think of. It was a case of contract coming to an end and taking this on BT's recommendation. It has been fine for 4-6 weeks but has been getting slower and slower since last weekend.
I'll leave it on overnight but, Reverend, you will ken us penny-pinching Scots too well.
This is what has been requested please. You must leave the home hub turned on all of the time, otherwise you will lose connection speed, as it will be seen as a fault condition.
If you are using the BT Smart hub you can get your connection stats by, Opening a new web browser on your connected device and type 192.168.1.254 or bthomehub.home into the address bar. This will open the Hub Manager. Click ‘Advanced Settings’ and then ‘Technical log’
The cost to run the hub 24/7 is negligible and avoids problems with DLM seeing problems with your connection and also the firmware is set to update overnight so if you keep turning off you are delaying updates
@licquorice Apologies for delay.
Thanks, folks.
Even from the distant days of dial-up I did not know to leave the router on.
Your connections speed is now very low, due to the home hub being turned off.
Its going to take a couple of weeks now to recover, but you must leave it on all the time, and no disconnects or restarts.
