Smart Hub 2 and BT Halo

Hi. Just got the Halo hub and am not impressed. It works on phones and iPads, but every other smart home thing will not connect. Lights, TV everything. It gets Alexa, but she can’t use them because the app can’t log onto the hub.

seriously considering unwrapping old hub and going back to it.

There is no 'Halo hub'. It just a sh2 and halo is an add-on. So you use previous hub and still gave halo

Yes. I spoke to a BT help person and they suggested that. It didn’t work, so I unwrapped the old hub and am using that at the moment.

Most Smart Home devices currently only support the 2.4ghz band, but the Hub transmits both this and the 5G band on the same SSID.

As you can’t change the name between bands, you can disable 5ghz, see if your devices connect, and then enable it again (if you have devices that use it)
