Hi
I have just setup up my new Smart Hub 2 after switching to Halo, having been "chosen". I have had Full Fibre for a few years.
I have 3x Zyxel PLA5206 1Gb powerline adapters and 1 Gb switches setup and have had speeds up to 70Mbps thoughout the house on the HH6 without speed problems for years.
After setting up the SH2, the wifi speeds have been 130Mbps as promised, but my home ethernet network has slowed to 40Mbps (oddly upload has as promised increased from 20Mbps to 30Mbps, so no problem there). BT test shows that my broadband to the home is good, so must be a networking incompatibility.
Having disconnected devices, SkyQ boxes, laptops, phones, PCs, etc. to see if I can identify a mismatch, but nothing makes a difference. Everything was fine before.
Why, if my ethernet was working well at 70Mbps before the new hub, has it now slowed to 40Mbps across my ethernet networking? I was expecting to be able to transfer files as before, or better with the new hub.
Anyone suggestions?
Thanks
if the change was for Halo 1 which is just an add-on then go back to hh6
Thanks, yes it us Halo1 and annoying I had packed the HH6 ready for return and recycling. I'll dig it out and try to see if that improves it. Thanks again
