Smart Hub Disconnections

My smart hub has started disconnecting a couple of times a day, previously it has been fine for over a year.
Also when I check the router log it says I have an Ethernet port connecting/ disconnecting every few minutes . The smart hub has an Xbox 1 connected to it and is connected to a power line adapter . The Xbox wasn’t switched on at the time of checkin the log.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix the issue?
I have tried the line test and there is no noise on the line.
Thanks in advance

Re: Smart Hub Disconnections

have you tried disconnecting the powerline adapter and see if that stabilises the connection

check line for noise  dial 17070 option 2  should be quiet and best with a corded phone

Re: Smart Hub Disconnections

Remove your powerline adaptors from the system and see if the problem is still there. It is not unknown for adaptors to go faulty.

Re: Smart Hub Disconnections

Will remove the adapters and see what happens.
I have tried the 17070 line test and there was no noise.

Re: Smart Hub Disconnections

I think the router has developed a fault on Ethernet port 3 where I had the adapters connected.
I removed the adapter and router seemed ok , reconnected and it started playing up but when I tried a different Ethernet port it was ok again, apart from the speed going from 25meg down to about 12.
Does this seem likely to be the cause of my issues and does anyone know why the speed has halved?
Thanks

Re: Smart Hub Disconnections

constant resets/drops in connection appear to DLM that the line is having conenction problems and it will take action to stabilise your conenction which is normally lower speed and higher noise margin
