Re: Smart hub 2

Go to solution

I was with talk talk and bt for my phone.

I have had them both forever.

After 43 mins on hold now to bt to try and sort it out!! Wish i hadn't bothered switching 😞 is it normal to take this long....

It can present a problem if you are moving from TT, as they have their own equipment in the exchange, and only rent a pair of wires from Openreach. There is no reason why your service should not be activated by the end of next Monday, all you need is the home hub, or a suitable router. The TT one would not work.

It seems a bit unusual, as I thought TT only provide both phone and broadband, and not just broadband. It would have only been normal broadband from their own equipment.

What do you get if you dial 150 on your landline phone?

That sounds more hopeful, I expect things will be fine, as you already have dial tone from the correct source, so all Openreach need to do is to route your circuit through the fibre cabinet. You will lose dial tone while this is being done.
