Hi all,
I have a member of staff wanting to connect the VPN up to the office from home.
The connection is fine but the smart hub gets all clever with the DNS requests so it ignores the internal corporate DNS serevers set in the VPN connections configuration, thus meaning trying to access any internal website/resource by hostname gets resolved by BT's DNS servers instead and directed off to barefruit.co.uk some advertising tripe for unknown DNS queries.
Is there anyway i can make the smart hub use the VPN connections DNS servers for the internal stuff without having to edit the end users Windows hosts file with a million entries.
Turned off everything i can find in the hubs interface.
Thanks in advance
Buy a decent VDSLModem/router and bin the Smarthub. They start in price at about £30.

See http://preferences.webaddresshelp.bt.com/selfcare/
Disable web address help, as it can interfere with VPNs.
