Smart hub vs smart hub 2

I have a smart hub connected. I can connect to the 5ghz channel throughout the house no problem. If I set up the smart hub 2 the 5ghz is so much weaker. I'll try to explain.

I have a desktop pc upstairs, I can connect at 148mbps on 5ghz on the smart hub. When I connect the smart hub 2 I can only connect to 2.4ghz with a speed of 38mbps, if I disable the 2.4ghz on my pc to only connect to 5ghz I can't get Wi-Fi at all

Re: Smart hub vs smart hub 2

Is there a particular reason to use the SH2? If not stick with the SH1.

Have you turned off smart setup? Have you checked you are using the same wifi channels as the SH1, there may be interference on a different channel causing a problem.

Re: Smart hub vs smart hub 2

I havemt turned off smart setup, i will look at that. All other channels are set the same. The reason to try and switch to the sh2 is so that my land line phone works as it's only compatable with the sm2.
