SmartHub signal shape

Hi

Does anyone know the approximate shape of the signal coming out of a BT Smart Hub ?

Is it the traditional 'beach ball' with a finger pressed in at the top and bottom and the router is in the centre of the ball

Or is it more directional than that ? e.g. most signal coming out of the front

I'm just trying to work out the best place for it in a new build

Not quite, its a MIMO device so it has beam forming.
