I have ti disagree with you there MrBelter.

74179 x 1024 = 75959296 = 75.959296Mbps

 

The 74179 is kbps,to convert to mbps you times by 1024 [1 kbit = 1024bits].

You **divide** by 1024, not multiply.

You'd multiply Kbps x 1024 to convert to bps (bits), but you divide Kbps / 1024 to convert to Mbps. So indeed, 74179Kbps = 72.44Mbps.

I believe Kbps is simply divided by 1000 to get Mbps

i.e. 80000 Kbps = 80 Mbps.
