I got a letter from BT inviting me to renew - to visit bt.com/something-special. I try using Microsoft Edge to get to BT site-no success. I then use Google, get to BT site which then sends a code to an email address I have. I enter the code, code not recognised. I try again, different code, same result -not recognised. I give up -life is too short for this nonsense.

This happened to our daughter yesterday, and to me today - she changed her password and it worked, I’m reluctant to change my password in cases I can’t get into the app on my phone.
Caps lock?
Not caps lock - used the “show” button to check. I’m sure this has happened before and had to change my password - but this was before I had the app on my phone.

I am sorry to hear that you can't get into that page. Can you go to https://www.bt.com/mybt and log in there first? Are you able to log into that page? If you are, you could page that other link and it should bring you to that page already logged in. Let me know if you have any difficulty.

This route gives exactly the same response - "check your log in and password" - I am using the same login and password that is stored on my iPhone for the BT app. I can only repeat my comment that our daughter had the same problem yesterday and had to change her password - I'm reluctant to change mine because I'm not sure if this will upset my app - not being too sure if I can then synchronise the new passwords.

Both the app and your online access should be exactly the same unless something has gone wrong on our end. I would recommend changing your password and trying it again. If you do run into any problems with the app, let us know and we'll help you.
