Speed Loss, strange log message

Morning All

 

I have been with BT for about a year now and although I had problems with my Hub4a (cured by a software upgrade done remotely) everything has been fine.

 

Below are some figures taken from the log pages:-

 

22/5   UP 448/20    Down 6144/6.30

23/5   UP 448/20    Down 6304/5

 

Then at 07.24 on 24/5

 

  87357.540000  PPP LCP Send Terminate Request (user request)

 

          UP 448/20    Down 4800/11.20

 

I did not send this request or turn off the Hub (i was actually sitting at my pc at the time)

 

I assumed that the line speed would be reset, however this has not occured.

 

Last night  we suffered a power cut ( storm, heavy winds, apparantly a tree down )

 

stats this morning

 

       UP448/20    Down  4192/13.20

 

Do I have to wait for 3+ days and hope that the line is reset?

 

Also what was the the termination request that I did not send

 

I do not really want to go through the help desk as all they want to do is send an engineer.

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated

The message is just the hub re connecting you will need to wait for 3 days stable connection to start with then a noise margin reset can be arranged by the forum mods

May I Have My Line Reset Please?

Morning All

 

I have been having line problems since mid May.

Below are some figures taken from the log pages (Home Hub 4a):-

 
22/5   UP 448/20    Down 6144/6.30

23/5   UP 448/20    Down 6304/5

 Then at 07.24 on 24/5
 
         UP 448/20    Down 4800/11.20

I assumed that the line speed would be reset, however this did not occur.

On 5th June we had a power cut stats

       UP448/20    Down  4192/13.20

 

Line still has not reset

 

May I have a line reset please?

so has your line been stable since 5 june after power cut?

the mods will post a contact us link and reset your noise margin back to 6db
