Speed Problems in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes

Hi all

Anyone else having problems in the Walnut Tree / Milton Keynes area?

Earlier this evening (around 1700) there was an interruption to my broadband service - the game I was playing timed out and YouTube stopped. I did a quick speed check via Speedtest.net and was getting pings in the 200ms range, down speeds of less than 5Mb and up of 30Mb. My normal is ~300 down and 30 up (I have fibre to the home). I turned my router (HH6) off and on again, but no change. 

BT's own speedtest is giving similar results. My last test showed a ping of 6ms, but download speed was 7.48Mbps and up was 31.6Mbps.

I'm keen to know if it's just me with problems.

have you checked the broadband status checker for problems

Yep, no faults in my area (I used my phone number to do the check).

ok then all I can suggest is wait a while and check again it can take time to update the status checker you could also use the status line on 08001690199 that may update sooner

I generally tend to sit these things out, so long as I know that BT are aware of it 🙂

it would be BT Wholesale /Openreach who will advise BT Retail

11pm and still the same speed issues and no service status problems reported for my phone number.

I'm hoping BT will resolve by tomorrow evening else I'll need to put a call in and report a fault 😞

I'm in MK , have BT infinity and getting, just hit ur head with wall , nothing we can do, I need to call them every week + to raise this issue.

First time I've had a problem in about 18 months (when I literally had no connection at all). I guess I've been lucky, but been with BT for a few years now and rarely have a problem.

My speed issue has now disappeared with no intervention on my part. Whatever it was, BT or someone has fixed it. 🙂
