The issues I'm getting are at the router end, and the TCP packets are arriving out of order, it's the TCP reassembly that's causing the problems.

 

I'm going to put some serious monitoring on the router & modem, lets see what the results are.

 

I think I need to go away and read some white-papers on DSL technology 🙂

FWIW my OR moden has no trouble sustaining 75 Mb at any time of the day.

Yeah, I got that, your point is?

 

If you have a problem you revert to the default hardware and see if it still occurs. I'm presuming he is seeing reduced throughput otherwise why be concerned. Even though the OR modem doesn't report OoO packets that doesn't matter because the point is to rule out the third party hardware.
