Speed just suddenly dropped.

DLS just disconnected and reconnected, now we're having horrible throughput.

BT speedtester doesn't complete anymore, says busy at end of test, but it confirms the profile is still 7150k.

Re: Speed just suddenly dropped.

My speed has dropped dramatically now too. At 7.30 I the bt beta speedtester said i was getting 6.95Mbps, now I'm barely getting 400kbps. I'm in Livingston, Scotland.

Re: Speed just suddenly dropped.

I live just north of newcastle so it's possible my route goes through scotland and the problem is there.

BT have posted an update of problems in Glasgow and have a 2 hour ETA, I'll check back in a bit.

Re: Speed just suddenly dropped.

I just got a Speedtester result of 25K !  I think my lowest ever.

I am on 01397 in the Highlands.

A friend asked earlier if I had any speed problems but had not noticed anything at that time.

Re: Speed just suddenly dropped.

I notice the BT Status page just says reports of problems from a handful of telephone code areas

I get a bad feeling that it is like the problems earlier in the year when BT had no real idea of the scale of the problem.

I have not called the 0800 because I don't want to spend an hour on the phone to someone in India trying to convince me my equipment is faulty.

Re: Speed just suddenly dropped.

Just chiming in as I have had the same issue, had a disconnect around about 8:50 then broadband speed plummeted. Managed to get a couple of speed tests done and the first one clocked in at 61 kbps. Here's the latest:

This comes after I had issues last weekend when my speed and profile dropped for no reason to 400-500kbps and only returned to my normal 2700kbps on monday. Not a happy bunny at the moment.

EDIT: Oh Elgin - Scotland. 01343.
