Re: Speed was 19 Mbps for years, has now dropped to 12

Yes infinity is VDSL.

You need to test into the test socket before we can go any further really.

If you can't or don't want to, you need to accept that an engineer visit will be charged at £129 if the fault is found to be with your internal wiring or something connected to it.

Extension wiring can and does degrade, I've experienced it first hand.

I only remarked that, @Webby, cuz I've noticed that mods here are indeed keen to move threads to their appropriate forum.

Indeed, as I was writing that this thread was indeed moved to the Fibre forum as I predicted Smiley Wink.

Slowed down to 4 Mbps. I then did a hard reset after which the hub failed to work at all. Reverted to my previous Hub 5 and speed went back up to over 19 Mbps. Am getting a replacement hub from BT. Looking at Amazon reviews, these Smart Hubs seem to be terrible.

Backup your settings from within the hub admin options and then perform the factory reset and restore the settings...

I found an old Hub 5, and that worked. So I got a replacement Hub 6 from BT and that is currently working
