Stabilization Period Expectations

I had Infinity 2 installed on Monday so am within the 10 day Stabilization Period.

My question is what I might expect to see in terms of speed improvement dutring this time, as my order said

Your broadband speed

We estimate your download speed will be between 75.4Mb and 80Mb.
We estimate your upload speed will be between 20Mb and 20Mb.

And what I'm actually getting is:

Download Speed ~ 18Mb/s

Upload Speed < 1Mb/s

So am I likely to see a 4x increase in speed at the end of the 10 day Stabilization Period or do I contact them to get my money back under the Sale of Goods Act?

Re: Stabilization Period Expectations

You should be getting pretty near you estimated speed from the start. It may fluctuate during the first few days and then level out. Your speeds are well below what you should be getting. You should contact BT and report to them the problem and that you suspect you have had a bad installation and you require an engineer out to investigate it.

They will try to tell you to wait the ten days. Tell them you are not prepared to do that and insist they send out an engineer.

Re: Stabilization Period Expectations

Thanks - that's pretty much what I thought would be the case but thought I'd just check if I was missing something.
