My parents have a BT Home Hub 3.0 for their broadband, and we have a small server attached to the network. I have recently upgraded the Server, and have sold the old one. The server was set up as a static IP on the netwrok, and I wish to assign the same IP to the new server. However, when I go into the DHCP tables and click on the new device, when I try to re-assign the IP to the "static" one, it tells me that another device is already assigned to this IP; I assume the old device.
How can I remove the "old" assignment, as I no longer have access to that device to remove it? I have tried resetting the DHCP table, reassigning the IP values to a different range, but short of resetting the hub to it's default config, I cannot see how to remove this IP assignment.
Would someone be able to advise as to the best method of removing the IP assignment on the DHCP table on the Hub please?
