Static IP Address

I have a TP-Link TD-W8960N which I have connected. Thing is I'm looking to forward ports on it for a couple of games. When I went to the portfoward website to do the guide it says I need a static IP address. The thing is I came on the forums and seen people saying you need a business account to do this? Is this true? I don't want to switch back to the HomeHub 2 considering it has that stupid bug where it won't save the changes. Can I just set up a static IP address anyway?

Re: Static IP Address

That is true it is only business accounts that allow you to have a fixed IP address.

I have got round this by using www.dyndns.com, and is working well at the minute.

Re: Static IP Address

You don't need a static IP address assigned by your ISP - you just need to configure your PC to use a fixed IP address on your network.

The portforward website tells you how to set it up...
