Still no phone line! Worst Service I have ever encountered

I am absolutely disgusted by the service provided by open reach I have been waiting for the phone line since 17/12/14 I have been given countless dates by Sky whom have been consistently let down by open reach, it isn't acceptable. To make it worse I had an appointment scheduled for today to 'activate the line (all the cabling has been in and completed for weeks) so I though I'd play it safe and double check my appointment with sky to my dismay open reach decided at some point in the early hours of the morning to move my appointment to 29/1/15 without any contact with either myself or sky so I have wasted a day off work wishing I am furious about!!! Then just to rub salt into the wound there's no-one I can speak to about any of it over the phone. (Really?!?!?! A telecoms company who have no phone line? Or maybe they're so incompetent they haven't got round to installing their own yet). So I find myself typing out this long and rather angry message on my phone because this is the only way to get in contact so whichever bright spark came up with that idea, what happens if I don't have a mobile phone and I want to complain that I don't have a phone line? Please explain ..... I would like the above issues resolved as a matter of urgency and of course I have taken the time to inform ombudsman and I also feel that open reach are in breach of the FCA code of 'treating customers fairly' to which effect I am also going to contact them.

This forum is for customers of BT Retail, who pay BT for their line rental and calls.

 

BT do not provide or maintain the external network. This is done by Openreach who work for all service providers.

You may find the Sky user forums a good place to make a complaint, as there maybe someone from Sky, to take up your issue.

I empathize my mother's elderly and frail friend moved into a small flat at the beginning of December and still hasn't got a working phone, it seems there is no way to get anything progressed. It's not a new fiat nor is it in a rural area but on the Main Street of our little town.

Hi Ojp26,

 

I'm afraid BT can not help with your complaint and you'll need to raise any concerns though your service provider who will in turn contact Openreach for you.

 

@stuartrogerson if your mother's friend is a BT customer and you have her permission use the contact the mods link to send over her order details and we'll look into this further.
