Hi
I am being charged for calls I have not made. These are growing in number month by month - there were 57 in July and all to the same 3 numbers. When I ring the numbers they go through to a fax machine.
The phone line is out broadband line/fax line so there is not a phone even plugged in.
All of the calls happen between 5am and 6am.
BT say there is no crossed line but have not suggested how this can be resolved other thank to end Open Reach at great expenses to me.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this problem?
Thanks
There is a phone plugged in: your fax makes and receives calls.
That's likely the problem. It may be calling home or has a fault.
Unplug the fax when possible or use a different fax machine.
That'll give you some answers hopefully.
Plug a phone in and dial 17070, see if the number that is announced, matches your own phone number.
