Stressed and need help!!

I've plugged in my you view box and checked several times that everything is where it should be, but I can't get the coloured lines off my screen. Driving me mental 😝

What coloured lines? Can you describe what you are seeing in a bit more detail?

The screen has chunky coloured stripes on it. Nothing I do seems to work. I'm usually pretty good at setting stuff up but this is driving me crazy.

Around the edge or down the sides. Can you seen any picture at all or what?

Only thing I can think of is that it is an HDMI handshaking problem in which case things to try

1) Make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged in at both ends;

2) Try a different HDMI cable;

3) Try cycling through the different screen resolutions your TV sets offers;

4) Set screen resolution on the TV set to Auto and try cycling through the different screen resolutions on the Youvie box.

I've just bought a hdmi-usb connector as my old plasma doesn't have a usb slot..maybe it's that?

its an HDMI connection you need. not USB

Yes I know that's what I meant. It's a hdmi to scart connector

Is this on all channels or just the BT pay ones, i.e. those appearing from 300 and above in the EPG?

If it's just those, how have you connected the box to the Home Hub?

If it's all, then your HDMI to SCART converter is likely to be the cause

Whcih box do you have? If it's the recording box with the silver and black front then that has a SCART socket.

I have the little you view box I'm going to try the converter on something else to see if it's that..if not I'm sending the box back as had enough now
