Stuck IP Profile

Go to solution

My broadband connection failed complely on 22/10/11, the Homehub3 showed a red light all day. The fault was reported and service was restored by next morning, however my download speed had dropped to 2000kbs. I have waited for more than 3 days, with the router permanently connected, but the IP profile rate has not been raised again. My router statistics show:

    Connection information
    Line state:     Connected
    Connection time:     3 days, 18:17:18
    Downstream:     8,128 Kbps
    Upstream:     448 Kbps
      ADSL settings
    VPI/VCI:     0/38
    Type:     PPPoA
    Modulation:     G.992.1 Annex A
    Latency type:     Fast
    Noise margin (Down/Up):     9.5 dB / 26.0 dB
    Line attenuation (Down/Up):     15.0 dB / 8.0 dB
    Output power (Down/Up):     19.9 dBm / 11.8 dBm
    FEC Events (Down/Up):     0 / 0
    CRC Events (Down/Up):     355 / 2
    Loss of Framing (Local/Remote):     0 / 0
    Loss of Signal (Local/Remote):     0 / 0
    Loss of Power (Local/Remote):     0 / 0
    Loss of Link (Remote):     0
    HEC Errors (Down/Up):     1233 / 0
    Error Seconds (Local/Remote):     0 / 0

The Broadband speed tester shows:

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1831 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
    Additional Information:
    Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps

I have tried a silent line test which sounds OK.

It looks like the profile rate may be stuck, could you help please.

Contact the mods, you can do that by following this link: , you've been connected for 3 days now, and your profile still haven't lifted itself.  The mods will manually reset it.  They are based in Northern Ireland, and will take around 3 days to get back to you.
