I'm on infinty 1. I think my line has been stuck on an ip profile as the line stats suggest it could go faster. I'm no expert on these things but if someone could consider the following attachments and give some advice on if they suggest the ip profile is stuck that would be very helpful.
I realise its only been up for a few days but this has actually been going on for the last year with connections lasting over 30 days without reconnects. The only disconnects I have had have been down to me reseting the modem or power loss. The line is stable.
What do the stats show for max downstream rate and Snr margins. The information posted is insufficient to make a judgement although a downstream rate of exactly 350000 does hint at a banded profile.
Ignore previous post, you had only posted first stats when I posted. Yes, your line appears to be banded possibly due to your resetting of the modem and power cuts. It might take DLM a few weeks to relent, but you should get your speed back, don't be tempted to reset the modem.
as @licquorice says the connection speed will move nearer attainable but it needs a stable connection and patience waiting for DLM to see line stable
Thanks for your replys.
I've been stuck on that profile for periods of months without change and without disconnection. It never changes and is most definately stuck. When I talk about resetting the modem I'm talking about a period in February where I changed routers to a Billion product. The most recent connection (3 days) was from when I put the Billion in bridge mode and used another router for better wifi range. The only other disconnections in that period would have been the occasional power cut which the DLM should (may) have ignored in my understanding. Not that I remember any specifcally but they are inevitable over that sort of period.
Anyway I'm fairly confident this is stuck as I know the line has been stable yet the profile has never changed. The SNR margin and attainable rate have always been in and around the numbers posted since I've been looking (February 17).
Unfortunately it is not unknown for DLM to refuse to release banding and get stuck. However, the catch22 is that a DLM reset on Infinity can only be performed by an Openreach engineer when (s)he clears a fault. If there is no fault found, a DLM reset cannot be performed. ISPs cannot perform DLM resets on Infinity.
