Have been having problems off and on since christmas when after posting on here I was contacted by @NealO, I was getting constant drops (5-6 times a day) BT sent me a HH6 which has been an improvement but am still having problems.
Yesterday evening the speed dropped from a solid 45Mbps to 30Mbps. For the last few months when looking at the HH6 stats the 'Maximimum Attainable Speed ' has from time to time been less than than the atual speed - I have reported this multiple times to BT and got nowhere fast. I have also reported the current problem but again don't hold out much hope of a satisfacory solution without moderator help.
I know that a broadband fault can be because of a faulty phone line (quiet line test OK) but am worried if the phoneline goes off because my mother is totally dependent on this (I'm handling things on her behalf as her carer) should she need a doctor (Cell phones unreliable here).
If amoderator could get in touch I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks
can you post up router stats on router advanced settings page.http://192.168.1.254/0000016400/gui/#/main/
The speed is roughly 30 down now (from 40-45 yesterday and for the lasst three months) have had several disconnects in last month and when check stats the maximum attainable speed is way lower than actual (Usually comes back up within minutes or few hours but hasn't this time)
Contacted BT and they claim it's a 'Network Issue' on their side - it's just that each and every time I have contacted them they just fob me off. Don't want to wait to receive a text to say it's 'Fixed' when it's not.
Had a couple of good telephone calls with @NealO at the start of the year who told me to make contact with him again if I got no satisfaction with things.
from your stats your conenction speed is almost same as your attainable speed at 37mb which according to the dslchecker is right at bottom end of your estimated speed your noise margin is down at 3.3db suggesting that G.INP is active
i think you may well find that is how it is and i think its due to uptake in your cabinet.
if you click on my username and look at some of my posts you will see i have a very similar problem read post low speeds.
I don't know - just got off phone with BT they say there is a problem on the Network on their side of things.
But I still find it hard to explain why the max attainable speeds have been way way below actual on and off for some time - then within minutes sometimes jump straight back (I'm talking 15-20Mbps differences) I don't think increased uptake on the cabinet would explain this really.
i have heard all of this off bt aswell and like i said look at my posts.i have had everything tried to fix mine.
