if you connect wires back as you describe apart from the wire on terminal 3 which should not be reconnected as that is the bellwire and can cause noise problems with your conenction. you should also detach it in all other sockets.
if you can now maintain a stable connection 24/7 for 3/5 days then profile will recover to the correct value for your conenction speed
Ok great. So can I detach the bell wire now or will this cause problems if I dont detach it from the other sockets at the same time?
just detach it and then other sockets asap - detaching is ok
just post back when you can with new stats to show if line stable, noise margin ok and errors reduced
errors are expected just when you get toooo many then either line resets or throughput is reduced - so just check crc/hec errors and error seconds - fec errors are ok
Latest seem to show improved everything. Now just waiting for the IP Profile to return to about 5 and I'll be very happy!
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.92 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
Your DSL Connection Rate :5.44 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2 Mbps
I presume the restart is due to the noise margin changing? Regards
stats look ok and profile now correct for conenction speed. I would leave the filtered faceplate as errors are ok at present - it would not eliminate them with a new faceplate
