Sudden drop in internet speed

very recent speed test

This is a recent speed test. We used to get atleast 2mb however we cant get over 0.25mb now. We are on a monthly cap but that shouldn't affect the speed as it was a lot higher roughly a few months ago. I have checked the modem in many ways and I just can't see where the problem is. I use steam for example and I cant get over 100kb/s download on that. any suggestions or advice?

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router (unless HH4/5) may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 


your connection speed is very low hence the low profile - faster connection speed get higher profile not the other way round  your profile should be 88.2% of conenction speed

are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
