Started out as 80Mbps DL 17Mbps UL in the last few years it constantly drops.
Last year was 57Mbps DL 20Mbps UL. Just checked & its currently 50 Mbps DL 19Mbps UL.
Funnily enough on the BT website everytime I check online the max speed BT say they can offer in my area is the exact same lowest threshold I am on! BT estimate has dropped from 63Mbps in 2018 to 57Mbps in 2019 & just checked & it says 50 Mbps!
Last time BT had to send an engineer he said the reason for the speed constantly dropping is the local exchange is massively congested & over subscribed so more people are sharing the ports in the cabinet impacting speeds.
Is it even worth me asking BT to look into it again?
can you post hub stats
if hh5 then troubleshooting then helpdesk and if hh6 advanced settings then technical log information
check for line noise dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
BT have auto opened a fault on my line now its going haywire speeds keep dropping 50% then resetting then back again! Not good looks like its going to cut out soon! Line noise test is silent as well.
stats look really bad compared to the dslchecker results
have you check BT pages for faults in your area?
This is the fault logged:
Which exchange and cab? You managed to cut that off.
Shepherds Bush @ Cabinet 31. Its at the top of the first screenshot I posted! BT auto closed the fault now but the issue is still the same keeps cutting out & resyncing not sure if I should open another fault or not as they have not fixed the original issue?
This is the current line stats:
there is obviously a line problem as your attenuation has dropped from 20 to 15 looking at both set of stats.
if nothing listed on BT as fault then phone 151 and report fault
Powered the HH5 off waited 10 mins now its been stable for about 30 mins so lets see what happens. First time in about 2 years I needed to power the HH5 off.....
