Hi
I have copper broadband which only gives me 1mb-3mb which is so slow to the point if I want to download a movie I have to start downloading it before I go to work. If I had 4g broadband I can get speeds of up to 30mb. Is there anyway I can switch from copper to 4g broadband with BT?
Hi @Daveslater1,
Yes, BT do offer 4G Broadband.
I would recommended checking your availability on the USO Checker: https://www.bt.com/broadband/USO
This is a government scheme that allows you to request at minimum 10mbps. You can see the 4G Packages and when you input your postcode - if you have strong enough signal - it will likely recommend 4G.
Hi albertj
Thanks for reply, I checked out the info you gave. We have a strong 4g network in our area. But when I login to my BT account I don't get the option to switch to 4g. The only way I can get it is to raise a new order without signing in. This would mean paying for copper and 4g at the same time. If I cancel the copper broadband this would result in me having to pay a lot of money to do so. If BT switched me they would gain an extra £20 odd a month from me.

Hi I've tried to attach the screen shot but it says the file is too large. Any idea on how I can shrink the file size?
i managed to resize it via an app. Hope this helps.
Did you use the camera icon to add pic
It didn't give me that option. I've now resized it and posted it thank you.
Not a good connection at the moment, and no faster options available.
You should be able to swap to 4G, but how long has your existing contract left to run, and do you use your landline phone number?
