Switched package - now missing several channels

Hi all

Yesterday I switched to the entertainment package. I now have the Now tv channels and most of the freeview channels. When you choose the package they list all the channels that will be available, but I'm missing a few, one of which I did have before the switch.

Missing Dave, 5 USA, and Yesterday. I did have Dave before, gone now. Was quite looking forward to 5 USA.

Tried retuning already. Any suggestions?

The channels you mention all come through your aerial. Did you have these channels previously, as not all channels are broadcast from all transmitters. 

Try plugging your directly in the back of your TV and see if you can get them on there?

Thanks for replying. We did have Dave. 

Unfortunately the tv is on the wall and it's impossible to reach the connections back there.

Did you watch Dave on channel 387 or channel 19? That's important as I think you may be in a Freeview Lite area which would mean 5USA and Yesterday wouldn't be available to you. Further Dave on channel 387 is not part of the Now TV packs. You can check which Freeview channels you should get using the postcode checker here:

Thank you. That's very helpful. I checked and we must have freeview lite as Dave and the others aren't listed.

It was indeed channel 387...

They should really make it more clear when you're looking at these packages what you will actually get. My husband won't be happy when he realises we lost Dave!

Have you tried the Freeview coverage checker https://www.freeview.co.uk/help

 

It’s possible that with adjustment your aerial may be able to be pointed to a full Freeview transmitter.

Hi, as someone has said you are in a Freeview lite area, I had the very same problem several months ago. I think BT now makes it clearer which Freeview channels you will get. Not much you can do about it.

Since then I have subscribed to the new Now  Entertainment channels and find that package a lot better regarding content.
