Switching from TalkTalk to BT

Hi, can anyone help me ? We want to change our provider from TalkTalk to BT but  our landline number seems to be

needed to proceed and we cannot remember it. What should we do ?

Either ring your mobile phone from your landline and see what number shows up, or you may be able to dial 17070 to get the same info.

It also should be on your phone bill from your current provider.

Bear in mind, its not always possible to port your existing number to BT, unless you have been with BT before, at your current address.

As the OP doesn’t know what phone number is currently allocated to them by TT , I would have thought it unlikely that porting this unknown number is essential, and that any BT number will do .
