We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
Thanks for the reply.
The line sync speed has been rising around 16.6MBps to a peak of 18.1 on 7 March but has since fallen to about 14.5MBps today (9 March).
The reset that you mention was not a manual one but a dropped connection which has happened a few times randomly in the preceding 3 or 4 days.
Why should a low noise margin result in a possible reset?
this may help http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/lowSNR.htm
can you post the current 2 lines of stats please
There havwe been no further connection dropouts since 7 March so I carried out a manual reset today (11 March). The event log showed the fiollowing:
16:36:31, 11 Mar. ( 98.280000) DSL noise margin: 5.90 dB upstream, 3.00 dB downstream
16:36:30, 11 Mar. ( 97.170000) DSL line rate: 1176 Kbps upstream, 18453 Kbps downstream
The line sync has risen from 14.5MBps to 18.4MBps after the reset.
maybe it has stabilised now just need to monitor and see if it remains stable and also watch noise margin and see how low it drops. the lower it drops the more likely that your download speed will slow down and if it goes <1db then a reset is probable
