I would like to synchronise my contacts between the new BT email and outlook (the windows desktop application).
When I was on the old BT Yahoo system, I was able to configure this using CardDAV, which worked perfectly. However, I can't seem to find settings for doing it with the new BT mail, and even the settings for the old BT Yahoo are no longer on the website.
The closest I got to finding an answer was this forum post, which links to this as a solution, but this is no longer on the website. Another was this forum post, which mentions this solution for syncing calendars, but it's not available either.
Just to clarify, I do not want to export contacts from BT mail and import into Outlook. I would like to synchronise contacts, so if I add a contact on one computer it will appear on webmail and any other devices and vice versa.
Although it is not something I use, other people may also like to know the settings for syncing their calendar. It would also be helpful for others to have the settings for syncing contacts and calendar on phones/tablets/other email clients, as is already provided for emails.
Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

Please could someone help us with this problem? The BT help page advised me to contact this forum, and I have been unable to find an answer through any other route. Thank you
Microsoft say here that contacts and calendar in IMAP and POP email accounts can't be synchronised with Outlook.
If you use Thunderbird with the Cardbook extension instead of Outlook you can sync with BT Mail contacts. I haven't tried to do it, but I think the BT Mail calendar will also sync with Thunderbird.
Hi
I have the same issue - 400 contacts on Outlook and they do not synchronize to BT email any more following the changes to the BT email system.
Surely this cannot be right and I'm missing something?
