If all else fails, I assume there is a means of saving the config? As its a generic setup for BT, would it be an idea to upload a default config file, that others could use, it may save you a lot of time?
I did something similar for the TP-Link TL-WA701ND WAP, version 1. I hosted the config on my webserver, and can do the same for you if you wish?
Thanks for the offer Keith. To be honest it's really hardly worth it, by selecting BT VDSL in the quick setup, the only entries that are required are user name and password, everything else defaults correctly. If I do take you up on the offer I will need to set my config back to the 'default' BT config rather than the tweaked one I have at the moment before saving it.
Glad you got it working and hope you are pleased with it.

If its that simple, then its probably not worth it. It was the same when TP Link updated their WAP to version 2, with a quick setup menu.
If you get a lot of requests for help, then if you would like to produce a simple written guide, then I can host that if you wish? Many of the contributions on my help site, come from forum members.
It can save you a lot of repeating yourself.
My website is only visible to BT IP addresses.
Thanks Keith.
Following on from this older thread, I'm about to move home to a property that is enabled for my Infinity 2 broadband connection. Will it just be a case of "plug and play" for this router or are there any settings I'll have to change?
Thanks,
Mark
The settings are in this thread.

In my HH 5 i can go into my home network & it shows my pc & my wife,s pc ethernet connected.
