Following the yahoo hack, I opted to change my password on my talk21.com email account as a security measure. Since that time (now about 2 months), I have been unable to access my email via my iphone, ipad or Mac. The only option to access my mail via BT.com.
I have repeatedly tried (i) deleting the accounts and reinstating the accounts on the devices and (2) changing the passwords. I've followed the incoming and outgoing settings on this site repeatedly, I've spent several hours on BT Chat and still have no success.
I've also tried the NAME.t21.btinternet.com alternative, but that does not help.
I have recently set up a new email address as a second email on the same account (firstname.lastname@example.org) and this one works fine, and I can access mail via Apple.
So it seems that the problem is something to do with .talk21.com - any other ideas what I can do?
I have had to resort to start changing email addresses, but this is tedious and something I really don't want to do if I can help it!

It might be worth checking if your old password still works on the devices.
If it doesn't work, check that you have the correct BT settings. Set the account up manually after you have deleted the account restart the device before setting the account up again.
If these settings don't work have you tried setting it up manually instead of the wizard and using the Yahoo server settings
Brilliant - I have searched and searched for the solution to the problem, and tried what seems like a million different options, but your suggestion of reverting to the original passwords has worked!
