Sadly only received one filter with my BT Smart Hub, I was sent another BT Smart hub which didn't come with any filter either. I do have a cable which goes from Male telephone to male adsl, so I have tried that which connected to the Test Socket (Or Phone Slot on filter) to Broadband slot on Hub which doesnt work eaither.
My master socket cables are attached to my outside wall then running to a pole.
I think you will just have to wait for the visit, as the Openreach technician should have a tester.
I suppose you could have two faulty hubs, it has been known.
Did some more research around, checked Openreach, and just wanted to look for more insight.
The telephone number provided by BT when I ordered:
Exchange name: Glasgow Paisley
Exchange status: Fibre enabled
Cabinet number: 132
Technology: FTTC
However, when I put in my postcode and select my address:
Exchange name: Glasgow Paisley
Exchange status: Fibre enabled
Cabinet number: -
Technology: Pending - EO Line
Could this be the reason I have no Broadband and that my telephone works perfectly?
No, its the first set of information which is likely to be accurate.
I cannot see why that should be, unless the routing is wrong, and you are on the EO cable.
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.
I'm quite confused too. My address does say that I am on a EO line, though the telephone number provided by BT says I can get fibre.
@ZomBieZA Please use the 'click here to contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your details and we'll find out whats going on with your broadband order. You can find the link by clicking on my username.
Thanks
