Terrible Connection Pathing (Gaming)

I've seemingly exhausted all attempts to get this addressed be it email, twitter, phone, chat and im about at the end of my string.

I rarely had any reason to complain about BT but over the last 6 months i feel my hate for this company growing, so far i've been treated rather poorly with no care from the people i deal with as of yet. No one seems to have a **bleep** clue what the issue is and so far the only response i've had was "have you tried powering down your router and powering it back up again?" - dispite stating on multiple occasions this is a pathing issue to the servers im trying to connect to.

Do you emply monkey's who cannot read what your customers are explaining? It took me 5 hours just to get a link to email you guys with my issue, because the only options on your website for contact are Chat/Write/Phone.

I have test results i need to upload but cant, i tried to email you to send you the information but no reply after almost 5 days now, my Internet is used for gaming and gaming alone, if i cannot then is useless to me, and at present im unable to play my game due to bad ping.

Im experiencing packet loss at the Router, and then trouble points along my routing path till eventually i get "no response from host".

I dont care who's fault it is all i know is that this is a major problem for me, and im getting sick of it, bounced around vague answers at best and no one seemingly knowing what the hell is going on.

Is it really too much to ask for an honest answer, i really dont care if it is a fault BT, just as long as you acknowledge it and fix it so i can play my games without a ping of 150 to servers located in Europe.

Loss % fructuates from 10-50 on the HomeHub which im told should always be 0.

Re: Terrible Connection Pathing (Gaming)

the no responses are just routers not set to respond to pings not a fault

Re: Terrible Connection Pathing (Gaming)

18:09:32, 06 Dec. ( 89.950000) DSL noise margin: 13.90 dB upstream, 6.00 dB downstream
18:09:31, 06 Dec. ( 89.040000) DSL line rate: 888 Kbps upstream, 19963 Kbps downstream

D/L Speed: 9.52Mpbs
U/L Speed: 0.47Mpbs
Ping: 76.88ms

Im unable to use the master socket as everything use to connect to the Internet and run the tests are all located upstairs, the master socket is downstairs. My PC is a rather large gaming PC so moving it isnt an easy task unfortunately.

I will point out that this has been the case for the last 10 years now and never had this problem before, nothing software/hardware has changed recently that coincide with the start of this issue.

The only thing that has changed in a similar time frame has been the cancellation of a contract and the connection of a new one. The package i had previously had expired some time agoand was no longer available, we simply updated to the new one, which is exactly the same specs and features just a different price. We are on the top package for standard broadband as we cannot get Fiber in our area.

The Exchange is around 200 meters from our house so we are the lowest on the priority for Fiber Cabling.

This change was roughly 2 month ago now, so any issues you might expect from the settling of the line should have died down by now.

It only seems to effect games i play, League of Legends and Diablo 3. My connection to FB/Youtube etc loading and downloading data is at max for my connection.

Re: Terrible Connection Pathing (Gaming)

Wired

I also have now traceroutes to both server IP's given to me by the Game Devs, i have both bad and good tests when the ping is normal and when its high.

If you wish to see them.

Re: Terrible Connection Pathing (Gaming)

As the PC is upstairs and master downstairs does 'wired' mean by Ethernet cable or using powerline adapters which is not quite the same
