when I check my Router i get.The router is connected by ethernet cable and wireless is switched off

Re: Terrible Connection Speeds and no phone

When running the BT speed test i get this

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

 Download Speed
 113 Kbps

0 Kbps7.15 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 113 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 2 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 5.87 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

 Upload Speed
 236 Kbps

0 Kbps832 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 236Kbps
Additional Information:

This test was not conclusive and further testing is required. This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.

If you wish to carry out further tests, please click on 'Continue' button. If not, please close the window using 'Exit' button and contact your ISP for further assistance with these results.

I have also tried just the phone, just the internet, 3 ADSL filters, 2 eithernet cables and 2 phones.

Re: Terrible Connection Speeds and no phone

if you are unable to make outgoing calls you need to report that as a fault which you can do on line

Re: Terrible Connection Speeds and no phone

I have tried that but nothing was found.

The mod from here after less  than 1 day found a problem with my line and they are working on it.

On a side note I came home today after a few days at work fired up the computer and did a quick speedtest check and had 5mb download all was fine for about 10 mins then the coneection went lower and lower till it was at 0.2/0.3mb  again.
