I can't believe BT are being so petty with this policy. I changed to BT mobile some moths ago. I have just bought a new Tom Tom with live traffic updates which works thro your mobile date and came to set up the tethering only to find it's not in my iPhone menu any more. Why are they adopting this pathetic stance? What's the difference if data comes from an onboard app or 'connected' device. If I used an app for sat nav what difference would it make!? I have never encountered this restrictive practice before, and there isn't a restriction on my iPad - which uses bt's network provider EE, so obviously it's not a technical network problem, it's just BT! Obviously I don't want to have to take my iPad as well as my phone everywhere. Now I have a new Tom Tom which I can't use. Disgusted !! Come on BT. Get reasonable !
