Hi All
The BT cabinet is 2 miles away from my House which means that at best I get 2MB speed.
How do I get connected to the cabinet across the road from me or have BT install a new cabinet nearer to me?
if you are a BT customer then enter your phone number and post results remember delete number https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
you will not get moved to another cabinet just to improve your broadband connection. there are many many posts on the forum asking if openreach will move cabinets to improve connection - all with same answer - no
Thank you,
there are many indeed.
what would be the solution to improve the BB spead as an alternative
post stats from hub if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information if hh5 then troubleshooting then helpdesk
also post dslchecker results
Ok - I have the attached but no idea what it means - can you help?
Also, the message at the bottom states - but every time I call BT/openreach they don't seem to be able to help
Note: If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service.
From the screenshot you've posted you can get between 11.4-19.1mbps so the cab you are connected to is not 2 miles away.
need your router stats please
from checker you can see speed range is 11/19mb
are you a bt customer?
True, it's 1.8 Miles from my house
Exchange SYDENHAM is served by Cabinet 19
I think maybe if we were nearer to the cabinet we would get the 19Mb but that is a dream
I'm a Sky customer, but my 2 neighbours are with BT an they have the same issue

Then why are you posting on a BT Retail customer forum? The network is managed by Openreach, and they have nothing to do with BT Retail. Chase the issue up with Sky, as they use Openreach to provide the connection.
Please post on the Sky User forum instead .
