The continuing saga..................

Speed test today of 494Kbps test 2. Hard wired.

Test 3 speed of 547Kbps. Hard wired.

My normal speed is arounf 35/37Mbps

Please do not come back and say 'was I using wireless for the test' Answer is NO.

Frankly this is over a week now and to me I would say totally unacceptable to expect anyone to pay for a service of this value when faults are not getting fixed or acknowledge. Granted Chris (mods) is in contact with me now but why a week after the fault was reported and again in the same mointh as the previous 'fault'.

Also wireless gone to the dogs as well. Reboots do absolutely nothing for hard wired or wireless speeds.

The HUb is knackered and the exchange has a fault. Wonder why no on seems able to sort this out?

Re: The continuing saga..................

I'm in the same boat. Awful speeds recently. Hoping a mid comes back to me once the bank holiday is over.

Re: The continuing saga..................

......and it goes on.

Checking today and port 3 giving only 10Mbps, swapped ports and did another speed check (Hard wired to those loving to ask the question................some of use DO have the sense to NOT use wireless for speed tests).

Fast enough for email then:)

What is commonly known as a truely knackered service and equipment!

Re: The continuing saga..................

Oh yes and wireless?

Even though I am sat here 1 metre from the Hub, not a signal reaching the HTC.

Re: The continuing saga..................

Guess you already guessed yourselves this is a Hub3 type 'A'.

Modem is 2B and mounted on side of deck so plenty of air through it....and barely warm.

Re: The continuing saga..................

The BT test is messed up right now and the only accurate result it seems to give is the profile so I wouldn't rely on it right now. It's not giving me accurate speeds either. Try using the test at Speedtest.net.

Re: The continuing saga..................

Did that already today.

Got the following:

39Mbps, 49Mbps, 29Mbps 14Mbps and 3Mbps 🙂 download

Upload around the 7.5Mbps area.

BT speed tester now showing 32Mbps.

I STILL suggest there is a software issue with the equipment in the exchanges, hence the highly erratic speed being obtained by different customers on Infinity.

Re: The continuing saga..................

Totally agree..........

Although I am using wireless and not expect top notch speed mine has gone from 32/33 down to 8/10 in the last week.

Booted, reset nothing makes any difference.

Come on BT this is 'Infinity Superfast' internet.

I was getting better speeds on Total Broadband.

Re: The continuing saga..................

@hongkongandy this could be due to new interference on okyur wireless signal. Try a hardwired test to see if that helps. @OP it is well known that there were issues with the hub3a, bt routinely replace these now.
