pay quartely, with the next bill due after the 5th of Feb. Its an old account and not in any sort of contract, but wondering how it would work/how much I'd have to continue paying if notice was given say next week sometime.
thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you are not in contract you will need to give BT 30 days notice unless you are moving to a new provider in which case it is 14 days notice.
See link
Thanks (and sorry for the late response)
Assuming I currently pay for the line rental in advance (?), would I be refunded the difference I didn't use ? (from the point of switch over to another provider).
joe
Do you mean you paid in advance for Line Rental Saver?
Line Rental Saver is non refundable.

If however you just pay for your line on a monthly basis, any money you have paid for in advance of your leaving date will be refunded.
No, not on a line Rental saver. Just wasn't sure if the line rental charge on any given quartely bill was for the previous 3mths, or the proceeding ones.
Line rental and package charges are paid in advance, unpredictables such as call charges in arrears.
Thanks pottyperson.
