Timeouts in page loading with Google

Hi all,

After migrating from AOL around 2 months ago, I've been having problems using Google sites. Now, whilst it may at first appear that I should be taking this to Google, the issues started soon after joining BT Total Broadband, and do not occur on my phone (m.google.com), yet they do occur on both of my laptops and my desktop, running Mozilla, IE and Chrome on Linux, OSX and Windows 7.

Put simply, around 1 in 10 searches work. The others simply timeout after around 20 seconds. If I log out of Google services, however, everything works perfectly. Could this be an issue caused by the router's handling of SSL connections (specifically just Google's)? I tried changing the DNS server, and the same issue prevails.

Any ideas guys? Need more information? Just ask!

Thanks
