Today, yesterday, last week etc. headings

Is there any way of getting rid of these date received headings out of my inbox? They just appeared recently and are just a waste of space IMO. Or is there maybe a browser add-on to hide them (like there is for the ads.)

Try going into the settings (cog at top right)  and turning off "conversations"

The only way is to go back to the old version.

the conversations has nothing to do with it as I switched that off already.

click on 'Sort by date' to get drop down.

click on 'More settings'

Select: 'Viewing email'

Under 'Mail Version' select 'Basic'

click on 'Save'

This removes:

• Today, yesterday, last week etc. headings
• Offers all the sort by options
• Removes the spammy advert shown at top of email list as if it were trying to pretend to be the newest unread email.
