No you can`t do it from the phone, you would have to add call diversion to your BT Package and then you can divert calls to your mobile phone, if the call is not answered or the line is in use.
do you want all incoming calls to be answerable on your Mobile not the BT8600?

Many thanks. I will look into call diversion.
Its worth bearing in mind that the portion of the call that is transferred would be chargeable to you at mobile rates, so if you expect a lot of transferred calls, then its worth considering the anytime call package, as it may work out cheaper.

erm, not sure! Basically, I want to get my calls transferred to my mobile when I'm away from home. I was hoping just the calls that my bt8600 allow through ie. just the people on my contact list. Does that make sense.
No it has to be done on the phone network, Its treated as if the call was made from your phone line, and the diverted portion of the call is chargeable. There is also a monthly charge for the call diversion feature.
As this is a BT forum, information here relates to BT`s services, so other providers may have their own charging structure, but forward transfers always involve a charge, otherwise it could be subject to fraud, as people could divert the call to a Premium Rate number, or an International number.
