I have recently moved out of a rented property, where I had my own BT account for phone and broadband. This property is owned by my parents, and they are now moving in, and we would like them to keep the same phone number.
Is it possible to transfer an account between family members?
If not, how can we cancel my account and transfer the phone number to their own existing account?

It’s not possible to transfer accounts or numbers. The existing account needs to be ceased at which point the number will become free. A new account then needs to be set up. Once that’s up and running a renumber can be requested to try and get the original number back but there’s no guarantees.
