Transferred Mobile Number

When sending texts the recipients do not see my saved number. I have recently transferred to BT and kept my old number. Anyone have a solution?

If you're using an iPhone you might need to check that your old number is saved in your settings, as this affects iMessages/facetime:

1. Go to Settings > Phone > My Number
2. Replace the temporary number that's there with your own number - use +44 instead of the first 0
3. Then tap Save

I finally hit through to a BT Technician and we tried all the usual steps without success. He finally advised that I should backup everything and perform a factory reset. Problem Solved.
