Transferring one BT number to another, the only way I can do it, is getting a cheap phone. Now what?

I have a cheap phone, now how do I do this?

Hi @Glosh64,

I'm not really sure what it is your are trying to do. Are you looking to swap over the BT Mobile numbers you have on your account? Or are you looking to move a BT Mobile number from one account to another?

If so this link might help -Can I keep my number when I move to BT Mobile?

Thanks

Hi Paddy

Thanks for your reply.

I have 2 BT mobile's, one is in my husband's name, at the time I didn't have a bank account, this phone is now mine, contract finished. I now have a BT mobile in my name but I'm wanting to keep the number on my husband's phone. I think that I'm sorted now, I have bought a cheap phone, with a Vodafone sim, so I've managed to get husband's number onto cheap phone, then I think I may have to wait 28 days to get Pac code from Vodafone, then hopefully get in touch with BT and get husband's number back on my phone..

What a pain but I've had my husband's number for around 14 years and I don't want to lose it, took me around 6 of them years to memorize it lol

Hi @Glosh64

Thanks for posting back!

You're absolutely right.  As the number is now with Vodafone you will need to get the PAC code to move the number back over to us.  Not sure of the timescales so unable to confirm that but you should get the answer with a quick Google search Smiley Wink
