Trying To Allow iPhone Through DMZ & BT Home Hub 5 Router Reboots

Go to solution

Hi there,

I was just trying to allow my iPhone through the DMZ and my BT Home Hub 5 router reboots itself, is this normal? I did not want to loose connection whilst doing this as want to keep my line as stable as possible. The downstream rate stayed the same but surprisingly the upload rate increased. Hopefully, my line will still be stable now.

Why would you want to do that?

Basically, I have an app on my iPhone that uses the camera as a webcam and was trying to see if I could use DMZ instead of portforwarding to see the webcam stream through the app. I managed to get it to work using port forwarding, though.

Port forwarding is the correct way.
