Trying to move from Sky to EE but keeps failing as BT have postcode wrong on their database

We have tried twice now to move broadband and phone from Sky to EE and on both occasions the order has failed due to postcode and landline number being a mismatch.  This is due to BT having the postcode wrong for our address and despite being told this on numerous occasions over past 17 years they have never rectified this.  What can we do as this is just getting really frustrating.

This has nothing to do with BT Retail. Openreach maintain the database and only your current provider, Sky, can request a change to the database by raising an ORDI request.

I doubt Sky would raise the ORDI as they won't want to help anyone leave, ask EE to raise the ORDI as they're the gaining provider.

Interesting how your address being wrong for 17 years didn't stop you moving from BT to Sky , yet that error is stopping you move from Sky to EE.

BT isn't Openreach and vice versa, so it's upto your current provider to sort out , Sky have exactly the same access into Openreach as BT, so they can (same as BT) get the issue resolved , as you are not a BT customer, obviously BT have no reason to sort your problem out.

Only the current provider is allowed to raise an ORDI request. Openreach will not accept it from another provider.
