Two separate numbers?

Hi peeps,

Sorry if this question is thick but we have literally got our broadband/talk package set up today.

Can anybody tell me why we have 2 separate numbers and how they work? The landline number given to us is ringing engaged and when we call out through the bt hub/phone this is a different number again. Also is it only calls via the hub/phone that go towards your call plan, or will I get charged if I ring out via the basic landline number? I'm on the unlimited Internet/anytime call plan....... Thanks lots

Re: Two separate numbers?

To call out on the hib phone press 5 first then your lind line will still work as normal. Both lines count towards your call plan and will show on the same bill.

Tip for you use the full code for the hub phone when saving a number and again place 5 infront. Makes life a lot easier. You will know when it has switched as the tone changes.
